FOR WHOM THE BRIDGETOLLS

TACO GOD
(LA Stage Best One-Act Play Award runner-up)
God is sitting in his office –as he does every day 24/7 – listening to a non-stop cacophony of people praying to Him to heal their loved ones, win the lottery, help their football team, get a girl to notice them – while at the same time cataloguing who’s sinning, taking His name in vain, having illicit sex – and finally He snaps.
He realizes that He has gone from Creator of the Universe to Universal Accountant – the absolute worst job in the world! God has his Howard Beale “I’m mad as hell and can’t take it any more” moment and quits - while ruminating how this long, sad, progressive descent occurred – but not before making a surprising discovery about Himself, as well.
